🍲 Asynchronous Station Orders & Kitchen Slate

The Kitchen Slate & Asynchronous Orders engine completely rethinks traditional RedM crafting, letting players batch-cook and brew without standing frozen in place.

đŸŗ 1. How Station Orders Work

Instead of forcing a player to stare at a progress bar for 10 minutes while brewing 10 pots of coffee or stew:

  1. Submit Order: Open the compendium at any active station (e.g. Valentine Saloon or Blacksmith).
  2. Select Quantity: Choose quantity (e.g. 5x Camp Stew).
  3. Queue Batch: Click "Queue Batch". Ingredients are safely deducted upfront.
  4. Walk Away Freely: Close the book and ride away to hunt, duel, or roleplay.
  5. Background Server Timer: The station cooks each item one-by-one on the server tick.
  6. Notification: Once finished, an on-screen alert notifies the player:
"Your batch of Camp Stew is ready for collection!"
  7. Collection: Return to the station anytime, interact, and claim your ready items with a single click.

Persistence Across Server Restarts

All station orders are stored securely in dynadev_station_orders. If the server restarts while stews are simmering, orders safely resume right where they left off!

🤝 2. Saloon & Trade Employee Collection

In high-traffic roleplay businesses like Saloons and Gunsmiths:

  • When Config.StationOrders.anyoneInShopCanCollect = true, any authorized employee working at that shop can collect finished orders from the counter to serve waiting tavern patrons.
  • Promotes realistic division of labor between bartenders, cooks, and servers!

đŸ›Ąī¸ 3. Campfire Anti-Theft Protection

Wilderness campfires are community hubs where multiple cowboys gather:

  • When Config.StationOrders.campfirePrivateOrders = true, multiple players can place orders in the same campfire simultaneously.
  • Private Queues: A player can only see and collect their own food and remedies. Strangers sitting at the same fire cannot steal your slow-cooked steaks or tonics!
